It's what we do throughout our lives as we transition from one chapter to the next. It easy. It's a state of mind. Today is different yesterday for the simple fact that it is, in fact, today. Just like that. With the dawn of each new day, we can choose to redirect ourselves. Staying that course may be where the challenge lies. It's easy to fall into old patterns, old habits. Developing new ones takes dedication.
The need to reinvent oneself is usually triggered by something. An inspiration of sorts. Well, I've found mine. The love of my life. And he wants to marry me. We're headed down the aisle, in fact, we're well on our way. The date has been set, the dress has been bought, and the details are in the works. So here's my motivation. I want to look unforgettable on our wedding day. I want that moment when I'm walking down the aisle to be a moment we'll never forget.
I mentioned that a dress has been bought. It's here. It fits like a glove. There's no room for growth. Hence, the perspiration. I want to be buff. I want to look amazing. And, if somewhere in this process, I finally reach that level of fitness I've always aspired to, I won't complain. I dream of achieving crazy things. Another marathon, perhaps a triathlon. The dress is just an excuse to get started down that path.
